YouTube links in Google Calendar
Have you uploaded your personal videos on YouTube? Are you using Google Calendar or any other iCalendar service? Here you can bridge them. You can add links of your videos in your calendar.
This service, with the help of Google API along with PHP/Zend framework, converts a YouTube account video feed (or a YouTube playlist) to iCalendar's ICS format. This way you can have Google Calendar events linking the day you capture your video(s) into YouTube's playback page. To make this work, follow these simple steps:
Open your Google Calendar and go to the date you captured a video. You will see it there along with its YouTube link. Just click and watch it...
Very important: In order to see a YouTube event on your Calendar, you must input the day you recorded it in YouTube's My Videos section. If you haven't done this, try to Edit your video and select the Day: you recorded it on Date and Map box. Map Location is not required by this service. Nevertheless, this is a good opportunity to fill this up too ;)
Note: From time to time, Google Calendar doesn’t apply import commands immediately. Just leave you request there and you will see your feed in your calendar some time later...
You want to know which videos are going to be available inside your Calendar? You want to find your Playlist's link? Please input YouTube username then press Check...
YouTube username:
Copy the link of the feed you want to add on your Google Calendar and paste it on Public Calendar Address: as described above.
